Zoologists and activists concerned about the salvation of dying animal species claim that all animals are not equal. The uncharismatic species are left without any help in preventing their future extinction due to the aesthetical choices of people. The strategic focus of the critical work of Daniela and Linda Dostálková contains political content directly imprinted into the aesthetical and visual quality of their work. The exhibition for the Cursor Gallery is based on the artists‘ analysis of animal rights campaigns organized by various activist groups and organizations. The artists observe the unstable positions of uncharismatic species and women in society, and with the help of the third party monster, they search for interconnections among them, where these actors mobilize themselves and show how the humane division of nature into cute and ugly functions and the consequences it bears.
